I am committed to clean, sustainable energy and the restoration of habitat for threatened and endangered species. Here are some of my activities in 2022:
- Continue to support and participate in Pacific Power’s Blue Sky Renewable Energy program
- Volunteer for the Tolowa Dunes Stewards
- Donate at least 10% of profits to various groups including but not limited to:
- Tolowa Dunes Stewards
- California State Parks Foundation
- Tree People
A Special Note Regarding Save the Redwoods League
In the past I have been an enthusiastic supporter of the Save the Redwoods League.
However, through Greg King’s new book, The Ghost Forest, I’ve learned about their racist origins and long history of stifling the best conservation efforts.
It seems that in recent years, under new leadership, the Save the Redwoods League is genuinely honoring diversity and inclusion while performing useful work for biodiversity. However, I need to re-evaluate their contributions before I can support them with mine.
